Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Weldwood Studios, a podcast and video production studio at 45 E. Sherman St., Lebanon, Oregon 97355. These terms cover our website, our studio, and every service we sell: studio rental, recording, video, editing, production, publishing support, consulting, and podcast marketing. By booking a session, buying a package, or using this website, you agree to what follows.
Weldwood Studios is a registered assumed business name of Weldwood Universe LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. Where these terms say “we,” “us,” or “Weldwood Studios,” they mean Weldwood Universe LLC. Weldwood Marketing and Weldwood Publishing are assumed business names of the same company.
1. Booking and Payment
Studio time is sold by the session or by package. Current published rates are $300 for a single session, $1,000 per month for four sessions, and $5,000 for the 90 day Podcast Pro program. Rates on the website at the time you book are the rates that apply to your booking.
- Payment up front. Studio time is reserved when payment or the deposit named in your booking is received. An unpaid booking is not a held booking.
- Packages and monthly plans. Recurring plans are billed in advance of the period they cover. Unused sessions in a monthly package do not roll into the next month unless we have agreed to that in writing.
- Production and editing work. Ongoing production, editing, and marketing services are billed as set out in your individual agreement or statement of work.
- Late payment. If payment is not received by its due date we may hold delivery of finished files, pause active work, and decline further bookings until the account is current.
2. Cancellations, Reschedules, and Late Arrivals
- 24 hours’ notice. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your session start time and there is no fee. Inside 24 hours, the session may be charged in full.
- No shows. A booked session where nobody arrives is charged in full.
- Running late. Your session ends at its scheduled end time. If you arrive late, the remaining time is what you get. We will extend a session when the room is free and you agree to the additional time, at the published rate.
- When we have to cancel. If we cancel a session for any reason, you choose between a reschedule at no cost or a full refund of that session.
3. What the Studio Includes
Every studio rental includes use of our gear and our sound treated room: broadcast quality microphones, headphones, a multi camera 4K video setup, professional lighting, and a mixing board. Video recording, multi camera packages, and livestream setup for YouTube, Facebook, or LinkedIn can be added to any session. An engineer can run the session for you, or you can run it yourself.
We keep our equipment maintained and our room ready. We cannot promise that any particular piece of equipment will be available on any particular date, and we may substitute equipment of comparable quality.
4. Your Recordings and Who Owns Them
This is the part most people want to know, so we will be direct about it.
- You own your content. The recordings made in your session, and the finished episodes produced from them, are yours. We claim no ownership of your show, your name, your brand, or your ideas.
- What we keep is our own work. Our templates, project files, presets, graphics systems, processes, and any tooling we use to produce your work remain ours.
- You are responsible for what gets recorded. You confirm that you have the right to record and publish everything in your session, including music, clips, brand names, and the voice and likeness of every person present. If someone appears in your recording, getting their permission is your job, not ours.
- Delivery and storage. We deliver your files as agreed in your booking or statement of work. We are not your archive. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We keep raw session media for at least 90 days after delivery and may clear it after that unless you have arranged storage with us in writing.
- Using your work in our portfolio. We would like to show clips, stills, and finished episodes as examples of our work. If you would rather we did not, tell us in writing and we will not. Anything you have already published publicly, we may reference.
5. In the Studio
- Bring the guests your session is booked for. Tell us in advance if you are bringing a larger group so we can set the room up properly.
- Treat the room and the gear with care. Do not move, rewire, or adjust equipment without asking.
- No smoking or vaping in the studio. Food and drink are fine away from the equipment.
- We can end a session without refund if someone is behaving unsafely, is impaired to the point of being a risk to themselves or our equipment, or is harassing our staff or another guest.
6. Minors in the Studio
We work with students, including through our Podcasting 101 course for grades 6 to 12. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian give permission before recording, and a parent, guardian, or approved instructor must remain responsible for them while they are here. Recordings involving minors are not used in our portfolio or marketing without written permission from a parent or guardian.
7. Equipment and Damage
You are responsible for damage to our equipment or our space caused by you or your guests through misuse or carelessness. Normal wear from ordinary use is on us, not you. Personal equipment you bring is your responsibility; we are not liable for gear left behind or damaged on site.
8. Third Party Platforms
Our work often runs through services we do not control: hosting platforms, Google, Meta, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, payment processors, and podcast hosts. We are not responsible for their outages, policy changes, rejections, or pricing. When one of them changes something that affects your show, we will tell you and help you work around it.
9. Limitation of Liability
We will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising out of your use of this website, the studio, or our services. This includes lost revenue, lost audience, and lost opportunity. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service the claim is about.
Recording is a technical process and equipment occasionally fails. If a technical fault on our side loses or damages your recording, we will re record the session at no charge. That is the remedy we offer, and it is the limit of what we owe you for it.

11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms. The version published on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to that booking. The effective date at the bottom tells you when this version was posted.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Linn County, Oregon.
